02

Where the project started

The original 2021 concept explored a combined calendar, task manager, and lightweight project-planning experience. Its yellow accent, day/week/month navigation, task cards, and approachable visual direction created a useful foundation, but the product lacked a clearly defined workflow, complete interaction states, and accessibility guidance.

03

Creating a clearer planning experience

The redesign focused on helping people understand what requires attention today, move confidently between calendar views, and create or update tasks without losing important scheduling context.

The updated experience connects the Today dashboard with week and month views while maintaining consistent task status, project context, and navigation.

From planning to completion

A focused task flow supports creating, reviewing, editing, and completing work without requiring users to leave the planning context.

06

Designing beyond the ideal path

Supporting states address empty schedules, conflicts, overdue tasks, loading, offline access, validation, deletion confirmation, and unsuccessful searches.

What changed

This modernization transformed a primarily visual 2021 calendar concept into a more coherent and accessible product flow. The strongest original ideas—the warm yellow accent, calendar-first navigation, and approachable task cards—were preserved while the information hierarchy, interaction logic, responsive behavior, and supporting states were strengthened.

This is a self-initiated conceptual modernization of a personal 2021 project. It was not commissioned by a client. No primary interviews, usability testing, validated findings, or measured product outcomes are claimed.
